At the foot of Market street. Eight building center with lots of
restaurants, specialty food, and gifts. Noted sculptures, a fountain, an
outdoor plaza and theater. Houses the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Shops and
Restaurants open 7 days a week 10:00am to 6:00pm. Sunday 12:00pm to
5:00pm.

Factory Outlets |
Most factory outlets are located in the garment district along or around
3rd St., south of Market. Some outlets have great deals Worth seeing is
the Espirit Outlet. (499 Illinois St. 415-957-2550). Push a shopping
cart around as you try on trendy clothes for the young or
young-at-heart. But not all outlets in this area are phenomenal
bargains. As always, shop around. You may do better buying at home. But,
you may be in the right place at the right time and find something
that's perfect for you.

Ghirardelli Square |
A miscellany of brick structures in a touristy part of SF along
the Fisherman's Wharf route. Formerly a factory area, its buildings have
names such as Mustard Building, Power House, Woolen Mill, and Cocoa
Building. They now house boutiques, shops, galleries and restaurants.
But most everyone comes here to have a sundae at the old fashioned ice
cream parlor. Share an "Earthquake" with friends or get a "Cable Car"
for yourself.
