Because Hong Kong is a small, densely populated city, it is normally
impractical for visitors to drive vehicles in the city. Fortunately
however, the Hong Kong public transportation system provides
efficient, safe and affordable public transportation.
The following companies provide bus service in Hong Kong: KMB,
CITYBUS, NWFB, NLB.
Hong Kong's Mass Transit Railway (MTR) connects Hong Kong Island
with Kowloon and the New Territories.
The Light Rail Transit (LRT) operates in the New Territories (Tuen
Mun to Yuen Long)
The Kowloon Canton Railway (KCR) runs from Kowloon to the Chinese
border.

Ferry Service |
The Star Ferry service operates a fleet of ferries between the
Island of Hong Kong and Kowloon. The ferries depart every 10 minutes
or so. In addition to being inexpensive, the ferry service provides
visitors with excellent views of the Hong Kong Harbour and the city
skyline.

Train Service |
Train service is available from Hong Kong to many cities in China.
There are several trains each day to the Chinese city of Guangzhou.
Traveling by train provides visitors a wonderful opportunity to
enjoy the Chinese landscape.
